Disputes with Texas homeowner associations can be expensive

The Loye family has spent more than $10,000 in a dispute with the Stonebriar Homeowners Association in Frisco. And they may be faced with additional costs if the association forces them to take out work they've already done on a 2,800-square-foot addition. Story.

Frisco resident Ibia Loye is in a fight with her homeowners association about renovations to her home.

Roads open and roads close

As of April 24, traffic on existing lanes of State Highway 121 has been switched to the new frontage roads, stretching from just east of Preston to Custer Road .

As a result, the intersection of Ohio Road and 121 is now closed to through
traffic. Motorists traveling southbound on Ohio will be forced to turn right (west) onto southbound 121. Motorists traveling northbound on Ohio will be forced to turn right (east) onto northbound 121.

The closure is necessary while construction crews with the Texas Department of
Transportation (TxDOT) construct an interchange. The intersection is expected to open in the fall of 2007.
